In 1999, Gum Tech International contracted with IIG to create a joint venture to produce, market, and distribute Zicam, a new approach to treating the common cold. Zicam was heralded as a major health innovation, which has been tested to reduce the duration of the common cold by 71% and has earned nearly a hundred million of dollars for the company.

WebMD At the peak of the Dot Com era, LLoyd participated in the development of WebMD. - He produced over 200 live interviews for WebMD with some of the world's brightest minds in medicine and the arts. Some of the interviewees include U.S. Surgeon General David Satcher, Dr. John Gray (Mars vs. Venus), Dr. Judith Reichman, Dr. Isadore Rosenfeld (Power to the Patient), Thom Hartmann (Last Days of Ancient Sunlight), Jack La Lane, and Time Magazine's 1999 Doctor of The Year, Brain surgeon Dr. Keith Black.

Occidental Petroleum

Cancer Summit, sponsored by Occidental Petroleum - When Mikhail Gorbachev opened the doors to the West for communication, many people jumped in to support the Soviet human rights reforms, and one of the first scientific exchanges between the Soviet Union and the U.S. was an exchange of research between doctors from the two countries. The Cancer Summit was a massive effort that required two large trucks of transmitting equipment at the N.I.H. headquarters in Bethesda, Maryland, and the same in St. Petersburg, Russia from where the Russian scientists participated. The event was LLoyd's first in a series of cultural and business exchanges, the latter aimed to commercialize Soviet military technology for peaceful means.
